Carlinda Boom (1994) is a queer person with roots originated in Dutch countryside now living and working in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. After a minor Photography at Fotovakschool and graduating in Corporate Communications she started Photography (Fine Arts) at Willem de Kooning Academy.
Boom is interested in themes as touch and attachment, the ordinary, the body and belonging. Fragility and tactility characterize her work whilst she differs between using materials and media such as plant pigments, acrylic paint, both digital as analogue photography and artificial intelligence. Boom understands the world most trough seeing, touching and inner dialogue and this is translated into in her work.
